English Experience

I like to use the blog in the English subject, because it is a very useful tool, and it's very comfortable to review and evaluate. we can see the process of our level of english increasing and practice when we want :D. In this career the English subject i think is important, because if we travel to another country to exhibit or study we need another language or when a curator comes to the country to show us his/her work, he or she will talk usually in English (if he/she is American or English or ffrom many countries that speak English). I think many aspects of my english should improve, my vocabulary and a bit of grammar because sometimes i forget the formula to express the words and when I should talk to another person like foreigners we usually speak English and if you can't help him you feel sad ;(. My plan is to start watching movies without subtitles, so you can understand what they are saying, that would be a progress Outside the english class i use English (and Spanish) to teach a little bit to my parents. Also, I want to read some books that only come in english, i like to translate the publicity on the streets and learn how to speak more fluently. The most significant use of english to me is to understand all the songs i always listen to. When i understand what they are saying i feel good, and i think my level is increasing. I think english is a useful tool, to express in another way what we are feeling or thinking, to help and teach others is a good way to start enjoying it. Always learning a new thing is a good progress.

bad and good points

In this year i fell sick in many ways, because i had apendicitis starting the year but the doctor didnt get out because "it normalized", being sick sucks, because you have to take rest and dont go to the university, after the apendicitis i got a real strong cough like neumonitis, and again, I was in my home resting... that was the first semester, the second were very funny, i started to do my Jobs very well, but suddenly my molars got out, and the denstist said: we need to remove them. so we are in november, i got my molars removed at finals of october, and now my dentist is making some cover at my cavities. In the school and because my resting in the year, i got delay of my presentations of projects and Works, that sucks and lossing clases too. so in my workshop i have to do two important Works to finish this year, and i got delay with one. i would like never get sick. One of my achievments of this year is a six mark on history of art, i suck at teoric subjects. something that didnt so well was my health, i told ya. When the year will done i'm going to do all of the things i like; play bass, tenis, football and hang over with my friends, i hope we can go to the beach again, just like the past year. I have to go to a big concert: Incubus one of my favorite bands, i got my ticket so i'm waiting the day come. i'm going to the concert with my girlfriend, my friends of my band and many people i know from the fan club of the band. i hope this ending of year will be nice!

The Majesty

Today Im going to write about my favorite band of all: Dream Theater they play progressive metal music, they are famous for talent and virtuosity, and all of them are Masters on each one instrument In the drums, one of the best drummers in the world: Mike Portnoy (recently replazed by Mike Mangini). Portnoy left the band on 2011, and now he has another good bands like The Winery Dogs, Transatlantic, Adrenaline Mob. All of his news projects are awesome, other style and more like Rock. Dream Theater maked two albums after the left of Mike Portnoy. The sound of their doesn't change much, and Mangini either doesnt bad. But Portnoy was the founder of the band, and thats very important. The guitar: John Petrucci, in some words He is Jesus, if you Type "John Petrucci" on google, jesus will appear, He plays the guitar like god, fast, tapping, picking, chords, etc. He is another founder of DT, he met Portnoy on Berklee College, and make some projects called "Majesty", their first songs and meetings. On the Bass, John Myung, he is mysterious, but he can follow the lead guitar picking on the bass, a gift of god, sincerelly he can make anything on the bass, I've never heard about "Slapping", but if he do Slap on bass, maybe the amplifier will broke The Piano, and keyboards: Jordan Rudess, He is bold, and well, another genius, he plays amazing too and he is in the band since 1999 in replazed of Derek Sherinian (another mysterious guy and talented as ****) On the Vocals, The first Singer was Charlie Dominici, and then (after the first album), James LaBrie arrived Since 1992 James Has been the Front man of this beautiful and full of history and talent band. They have more than 10 albums (12), they still play around the world, and They have come four times to Chile, I could go three times, 2005 and 2011 and 2012, the last time he came to Chile, I won a Meet and Greet, to meet Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess, He signed My T-shirt, and some Dvd's, but the happy of that moment was unbelievable I hope they still play, because they have a great show and monumental music

I have a "best" friend, his name is Javier, and he is right of my girlfriend, in the middle with a red shirt, i know him since 8th grade at school, and now we have a band, we hang over together all the time. we have in common so much things that we can´t write now, but we have music, bands, other friends but the most important i think is the friendship, because we never let down another. Javier doesn't like much study, i think that's the difference between he and me. I like him because i can talk about anything with him, also we have a nice fiatus(like chemistry) on playing music. With Javier we get drunk on Saturdays, sometimes smoke some weed, but anyway we have fun together. We've never fight, or discuss very hard, we just talk, or play some jamming, and the thing its done The nicest experience that i lived with him, is that in two time we went to Dream Theater's concert, that is the band what get us together since we met, and that's all the matters.

Pop art is a avant-grade really interesting because it can apply to our present, because pop is a concept that the people consume, forever, the people will consume everything, industrial, things that we don't need. anything is pop. music, clothes, movies, even visual arts. Andy Warhol was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. Today i'll share a thing that i like so much, im talking about one of my favorite band
Pink Floyd!.

They have so much history, so much energy, uncountable songs, hits, they marked all the generations that could enjoy them music.
Unfortunaetly in a period of the band, two of them got a fight, and the band separated, for one side, There was David Gilmour (a non-founder member), and the other hand, Roger Waters (originally founder), that break on the band was one of the most famous and most painful break in the whole history of the music. Because we just listen Dark side of the moon, or, The Wall, and we starts to feeling that vibrations inside your body. There are many others albums, but, those two are of "propiety" of each one. and maybe the reason for the break. The two albums are very good, and a really master piece.

I choose DSOTM, but it doesnt means that i don't like The Wall.
 I like the way they compose for very difficult and complex estructure, and I think the sound of the guitar effects are the essence of Pink Floyd.

Of course that Pink Floyd had others members, (More Crazy) Like Sid Barret, the original founder and Guitarist. He died for a overdose of many drugs, U know why i say that he was More Crazy.
But one thing makes the Floyds, today, one of the most important pillar of the music,

It is their Songs, Like :

-Money
-Comfortably Numb.
-Learning to Fly.
-The Great Gig in the Sky.

and many others, those are my favorite songs.
I think Pink Floyd has the greatest Show, and they are one of The Best Band In the World!.

the art gallery

In theguardian.com, I saw an article that talks about the beginning of an art gallery, the most important point that I noticed is the way the art is like business and a company.
I mean, the way of my school teach us and how in another continent teachs.
for example there (Australia) open an art gallery is a money making way, the young art, new art have space and air to breathe, here actually do not have so many spaces to exhibit or sell our art work in Australia the art and culture it's very important, because there the culture is not just for the identity of the people, the culture also is goods (I mean, art Works, theater, books, music new and young art, etc)
Here we don't have the same way of see the culture that another countries have. I mean here we dont consume so much art, or so much music, but we are good to buy foreigners music, or famous craps only for go the feeling of beign "on". we dont like our own art, music, literature. (I said the most people, because that is not in our culture)
For example, the most polemic art galerist (Juan Yarur) is a business man that buy arts, art pieces or what he wants, and exhibit then in the museums or another public spaces, and he got money for doing that, I think he is hated for the most of artists (here).
Well, for the global world, all are and will just merchandise and godos to buy/sell, but i think the important is to get culture to identify us.

A country i would like to visit

It's very diffcult to choose just one country because:

1) There are many
2)All has many reasons to go.

So I choose Paris! France

There are many reasons to say France, because the history, the art, the arquitectura, the food, the romantic, the movies, the all taughts about there, I think my main reason to travel there is The movie Rattatouille, its my favorite movie, and the place of that movie is in París,
For the other hand, because I study arts, I think is very important to know the Parisian School. and see the history that we learn from books.

Another reason is the Cheese, i love cheese, i think the true cheese, (not the chemical cheese that we have in chile), is in france, I have a french friend, his naime is Jordan, he lived in France since he born, and he and his family got to travel to Chile, because they didn't find job.

Jordan told me so many things about France and how is the food, the people, the school, and the music, for example in france one has to learn at least 2 musical instruments in the school, (is obligatory and necessary) they have better education (civical, knowledge, many ways to learn)

So i Heard many things about france and parís, I would like to Travel Paris!

so im going to talk about dogs!
First some reasons to love them!

He will love you forever, no matter fights or any other conflict,
He will be satisfied with the food you give him, without protest as we do,
He always will be with you,
He won't care that you put a ridiculous name,
If you give a small gift, he will thank you forever,
If you're sick, he will not move on your side,
He won't ask for more than a caress, or that you throw the ball,

I've had two dogs,
My first dog was a siberian-alaska he was very big, and white. with blue eyes, he was the perfect protector
But my coutyard was not big enough for him, and we have to gift him to a cousin, I was very sad, and angry,
I've got him for 5 years since I was six. his name was Twister
My second dog was a common dog (Kiltro) His name was Rocko (Like Rocko's Modern Life), and he had a very soft fur, he had green eyes and he was my last dog, He died, unfortunately one day after my birthday, that was a very sad notice, me and my family burried him in my courtyard

Now I have a puddle, his name is Timoteo,  he is from my friend Christian, he cannot keep Tim because his grandmother has cancer. and she cannot has any contact with animals.
Timoteo in my house is very happy and lazy.

In my house we adapted fast to Tim, and Tim to us.

My ideal job

My ideal job would be musician, i don't like to call it like "job", something that you do and you get paid,
I would do it without get paid or any money, but how is the world now, it's impossible, I think making music and can express to many people listening at what are you doing is one of the most or, the most beautiful thing
I think that some qualities or skills are requiered, -but a bit of them- because you can make music with a few notes or chourds, but if you to make a more complex kind of music, you'll have to learn and dominate the necessary skills to make it "hearable"

I think i would be good at this, because I love making music, I've done this for years and I have one friend that wants to do it same as me.

To do this "job", or try to get another, is very dificult, because all the jobs are competitive, if you don't like competition, better you don't try, One has to stay constantly get up and innovate yourself. because if you don't produce enough, your boss will fired you

That's beautiful about "Arts jobs" you are your own boss, and you get what you do.

First Post!

Hi this is me, i like the name of this blog, and this is the last level!

In this post I have to talk about my first semester and things that happened in it.

The first semester was very difficult, because I had have to do all the exams without exception,
I learned a lot of things, like sold or make structures of iron and metal.
The last semester I played football sometimes, but about free times activities, I may describe some activities but isnt necessary (because it would be barely legal)
I had to face a big problem, I had to expand a pelican bone into a really big pelican bone, it consider more tan 1,5meters long and I had have to make it of clay.
But the most significally event of the last semester was the strike and occupation of our faculty, because we had a lot of demands, educational, burocratic and academic. After the occupation and the big trouble we keep going on class and now all is in the right way.
